My Story

How I got here

I'm originally from the Chicagoland area and have been calling San Francisco home since 2024. My path into design started at the University of Missouri, where I studied Information Technology and discovered something that felt like a superpower: the ability to blend computer science with psychology to solve real, human problems.

That intersection has shaped everything since. Design, to me, has never been about how something looks. It's about how it works, how it feels, and whether it actually helps the person using it. Over 7.5 years across startups and large organizations, that belief has only gotten stronger.

Design Philosophy

How I work

My design philosophy starts and ends with the user. I make it a priority to ensure people feel genuinely heard not just consulted and that their perspectives actually shape the outcome. Transparency, trust, and clear communication aren't just nice to have; they're how I build relationships with teammates, stakeholders, and the people I'm designing for.

My process follows a human-centered approach: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Not as a rigid checklist, but as a way of thinking that keeps solutions intuitive, effective, and accessible.

User Advocacy

Every decision is grounded in understanding the person on the other side of the screen. Their needs always come first.

šŸ”

Transparency

Clear communication and honesty at every stage with collaborators, with stakeholders, and with myself.

Accessibility

Good design works for everyone. Inclusive, accessible solutions aren't optional: they're the standard.

Outside of Work

Beyond the screen

When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me training for a triathlon, biking up Hawk Hill, or running through Golden Gate Park. Living in San Francisco has given me an incredible backyard for staying active, and I take full advantage of it.

I also love film. The movie theater is my happy place: there's something about the ritual of it that I genuinely look forward to. And I'll never say no to a good horror movie.

Triathlon Training

Training for triathlons keeps me disciplined and focused. Whether it's biking up Hawk Hill or running through Golden Gate Park, San Francisco is an incredible place to push your limits.

Film & Cinema

The movie theater is my happy place. I love the full cinematic experience, and I have a particular soft spot for horror: the good kind that actually makes you think.

Let's build something great.

I'm always open to new projects, collaborations, and conversations.
